The Word “Creation” in Romans 8:19-22

She counted down the days until the wedding. Finally all the planning, all the talking, and the arrangements would come to an end.Although nervous, she and her beloved fiancé’ would be married. That picture of anticipation is painted in the Bible’s portrayal of nature waiting for the day of our redemption. All creation is waiting, even groaning for the day when you and I will be fully redeemed in a future day of glory. This is Dr. Jay Quine. In my house are three cats, a gecko lizard, a rabbit, and a dwarf hamster. They have been subjected to futility.Sin has entered the world, affecting all of creation. Remember the word, and see them and all creation waiting for the day.

Biblical Word Study on "Covet", by Jay Quine

To Covet not Coveting – Romans 7:7-8
The Law of Moses is often compared to other ancient legal codes. They are written in the form of a treaty between the King and his subjects, laying out the rules for good behavior, and the consequences if those rules are violated. But it would be ridiculous if the King punished his subjects for things they thought. How would he ever know? But that is exactly the difference with the Mosaic Law and all other human laws.God measures what we even think. The commandment “Thou shalt not covet” condemns us.This is Dr. Jay Quine remembering this word “covet” with you.It tells us that God’s Law is absolutely unique in all of human history. He looks at your heart.Come clean and confess to the King Jesus and sin no more.

Jay Quine Comments: The Word "Baptized"

Romans 6:3-4

Once a graduate, you are forever identified with your college. We don’t say it this way, but we could say you’ve been baptized into your alma mater! The bible doesn’t always use the word “Baptized” for being dunked in water. While that is its original meaning, the word Baptism was also used to show a connection or identity. The people of Israel were baptized into Moses—they identified with Moses. So to, by faith Christians are baptized into Christ; identified with his death, burial and resurrection. Remember this word with me, Dr. Jay Quine. As a cloth is with colored dye, you are as identified with Christ’s experience so that you should now live with Him.

Romans 4:21

Each and every tax season we may wonder whether a deduction can be taken.Call the IRS once you get one answer, twice and you get another answer! You end up even less assured.Only one person can give you absolute assurance in this life, and that is God.He is able to do what he promises. So, when he says he will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies, you can relax, he can do it. This is Dr. Jay Quine assuring you that God is able. You can even relax in the midst of calamity. The Lord promises to be with you.You may get a tax deduction wrong, but don’t get this wrong; God will never leave you or forsake you.Remember the Word, and rest assured.
